2011, let's dance.

New Years Eve, the sparkling fireworks melting among the pitch black night sky sprinkled with a million stars. the lamposts highlighting the street among the many random inviduals pondering where they may end up at the stroke of midnight. the ill members of society at home to rest as others secretly ponder their twenty eleven wishes. the ticking of the clock motioning towards the number tweleve, slow motion, slower and slower until the billion members of society meld together in the stream of smooching sweeping across nations. as the advance of the soloists groove their drunken arched bodies towards the north to consume another bottle of serum. the locals surrounding their arms around one another as the newscast shout out to the world they were presenting to all along. New Years, 2010, consuming to the point of shame and destruction. the drunk drivers, the high teens, the bottled envy that glues the gaze of the troubled and amature. New Years, terrible and passionate. this year, this day, defines all of us. Global Warming moves in from the West as fumes burry the National catastrophe we call "change". twenty eleven, twenty eleven better bring this so called "change"in the glowing white figure of silence that we allow to presume the course of inspiration. twenty eleven, i wish, will fly in, endurance of white feathers. floating, soaring, creating the hope, faith, and dreams we once needed a few decades ago. still yearning, 2011 bring us what we truely need, a will to find peace.

Holidays !

The crinkling of wrapping paper and the pen strokes of "oh dearest mother" tingle at my ears. The scent of hot chocolate indulging my senses as the idea of snow tapping the ground to grow upon inches and inches swishes around within my thoughts. The saliva forming upon my tongue as a marshmallow floats on the top of the mug of hot chocolate freshly poured. Streams of steam wriggling for the surface as my breath pushes them sideways. The beauty of calm. The warmth of calm. The tense muscles loosening their grip at the very thought. December, the melody of the holidays jingling in my ears; echoing through my heart. This was the season of love, care, and giving. This was Christmas.

The Iron Giant

One person can drastically change a life. Hogarth sees past the giants iron exterior. Hogarth got to understand the giant and realized that he also had feelings. Hogarth believed that the giant had a soul, and that "souls don't die". He ended up understanding the giants potential, the potential to save the town. The giant learns right from wrong due to Hogarth. The boy shows him "you are who you choose to be". The robot chooses to become superman rather then the weapon he was built to become, because he learned the difference between right and wrong. The giant gained traits because he was thankful. At the end of the movie, a bomb was set to hit the town where Hogarth and his family resided. The giant gained the trait of courage here, for he wanted to thank Hogarth. After stating that Hogarth should let him leave alone, the way Hogarth did. "You stay, I go. No Following", the giant collided with the bomb, ending with a grateful town. They now understood his hero trait and built a statue dedicated to the giant himself. The iron giant gained these traits because of Hogarth, and it was these traits that saved Hogarth in the end. Hogarth's perspective of the giant, the time he took teaching him right from wrong, and the traits the giant gained due to this all played a part in how Hogarth drastically changed his life.

ROCKY

An underdog is a person who is expected to lose, but rises to the top because of their own demeanor. An underdog uses their own personal experiences to inspire others. A person who moves and leads by examples, showing you how to carry on. Some refer to these people as heroes, considering that in some cases, their example could be what provoked somebody to live another day. Underdogs provide the path that allows you to follow your dreams and passions, with a flow of persistence, nerve and patience. Sylvester Stallone's true underdog story, led me to climb my own mountain.
